This Privacy Policy explains how Balamove ("Balamove", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use the Balamove platform, our website and our WhatsApp messaging services.

1. Who we are

Balamove is a software platform used by packers and movers companies to manage enquiries, quotations, bookings, documents and customer communication. Companies that use Balamove ("Companies") enter and manage information about their own customers on the platform.

2. Information we collect

• Company account information: business name, owner name, email address, phone number, address, logo and account login details.
• Customer information entered by Companies: customer name, mobile number, email address, pickup and delivery addresses, moving dates, household inventory, quotation and billing details, signatures and photos or documents related to a move.
• Messaging information: WhatsApp messages sent to customers about their booking (for example quotation links, booking confirmations, visit details, review requests and reward point updates), along with delivery and read status.
• Technical information: IP address, browser type and usage logs needed to keep the platform secure and working.

3. How we use information

• To provide the platform to Companies and let them manage their moves and customers.
• To send customers service messages about their own booking on behalf of the Company handling their move.
• To generate quotations, bills, receipts and other documents requested by the Company.
• To provide support, keep the platform secure and prevent misuse.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information.

4. WhatsApp messaging

Balamove uses the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. to send messages to customers. Messages are sent only in connection with an enquiry or booking the customer has made with a Company. Message content and phone numbers are processed by Meta to deliver the messages, in line with WhatsApp's Business Policy. Customers can ask the Company, or us, to stop sending them WhatsApp messages at any time by replying to the message or contacting us.

5. Sharing of information

We share information only as needed to run the service:

• With the Company handling a customer's move.
• With service providers that help us operate the platform, such as hosting, email and messaging providers (including Meta for WhatsApp).
• When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

6. Data retention

We keep information for as long as the Company's account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. After that, information is deleted or anonymised.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections and restricted access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. Your choices and rights
